I don't think I've heard any Adele, but I listen to stations that play from the 70s to now in rock. And the high school indie station. I think I heard one song of hers, and I liked it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I like Rolling in the Deep and Set Fire to the Rain, but I don't listen to the radio much. When I'm in the mood I play them, and when I'm not I don't. It saves aural burnout.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I still love it, but I also don't listen to the radio much, so I haven't gotten burned out on it. [link] The video is pretty awesome, too.

Unfortunately the used CD store in town closed, so I can't get any cheap copies of her CDs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've never heard any Adele that I know of. It's not hard. If it's been used as ad music or TV accompaniment, then sure, but I have no idea.

I only keep up with Kids Today music on Youtube. Most of the artists put up their own videos.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

if anyone here saw any ads for the Grammys, they have heard Adele. And seriously.

I went to high school with a guy who plays the piano in bands (most notably, Sugarland) and he's posted recently about how weird it is to be in, like, Kroger, and hearing the sound of your own piano playing on the PA system. And he's not even actually famous! (I suppose if he were Adele, he would not do his own Krogering.)

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

KATE. Whoa. Really? Wow. Is it a matter of pride at this point, or are you just afraid of the hype?

Heh. Neither? I just haven't sought it out, and like Jess, the only radio stations I listen to are NPR and classic rock. It's possible I've heard it when I was out somewhere, but didn't know it.

I liked "Chasing Pavements" from her first album a lot, but when I listened to the rest of the CD it didn't grab me, so I wasn't particularly interested in seeking out her new one. But I'm happy to give "Rolling in the Deep" a listen, since you've linked the video.
