I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Coding and Sleeping

I need to stop arguing in the comments section of a blog about socialized medicine and how people will stop working if America gets socialized medicine.

Look at what happened in Japan, nobody does any work there. That's why my Honda had to be made in Canada.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

askye just made my head explode.

One, no one has ever proposed socialized medicine in this country, only single payer.

Under the bird analogy, people would go to the doctor all the time, not stop working. Also, they would scatter millet seeds and sunflower hulls everywhere.

Re the lottery analogy: how does his brain even make human speech?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think I need Jesse's jujitsu to get people to do what I want. Instead I just used ALL CAPS in an email. I am trying to rid myself of the desire to be RIGHT, rather than getting what I want, but it is very hard. Also, since this is the theatre, and some involved are students, I also need them to know that had they handled things differently, there would not be a problem.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Put a bird feeder in your backyard. See if any birds come for the free food. See if more keep coming.

Yes! Because every time I go to the doctor, I refuse to leave until she's gotten the insurance company to also pay my rent and buy me lunch. OBVIOUSLY.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Ann, that's a ferret.

My near-libertarian niece once criticized the earned income tax credit as "socialist." When I asked her how the EITC caused the government to own the means of production, she asked what that had to do with anything.

Never did give me an answer.

Thrive to spite them

So now he's saying this:

It never ceases to amaze me that human nature has to be explained. Should I have to explain that guys are more into looks than women? Should I need to prove that? Or can you just think about your life's experiences?

Also he said that if people want insurance they should pay for it. And I pointed out again that 1) a lot of people can't afford it even if they work full time and 2) some people can't get insurance companies to cover them.

It's also the last I'm going to say because this guy's logic is not earth logic.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ordinary Batman Adventures

Neatorama sez:

Artist Sarah Johnson illustrates Batman doing what the super hero does when he’s not out fighting evil and protecting Gotham City. And they’re animated, too! Watch Batman fishing, eating ice cream, visiting the men’s room, etc.

Also, Batman nails.

It's times like this when I think about my life's experiences and how way too many of them include being lectured by douchebags on the internet.
