I need to stop arguing in the comments section of a blog about socialized medicine and how people will stop working if America gets socialized medicine.
Look at what happened in Japan, nobody does any work there. That's why my Honda had to be made in Canada.

One, no one has ever proposed socialized medicine in this country, only single payer.
Under the bird analogy, people would go to the doctor all the time, not stop working. Also, they would scatter millet seeds and sunflower hulls everywhere.

I think I need Jesse's jujitsu to get people to do what I want. Instead I just used ALL CAPS in an email. I am trying to rid myself of the desire to be RIGHT, rather than getting what I want, but it is very hard. Also, since this is the theatre, and some involved are students, I also need them to know that had they handled things differently, there would not be a problem.

My near-libertarian niece once criticized the earned income tax credit as "socialist." When I asked her how the EITC caused the government to own the means of production, she asked what that had to do with anything.
Never did give me an answer.

It never ceases to amaze me that human nature has to be explained. Should I have to explain that guys are more into looks than women? Should I need to prove that? Or can you just think about your life's experiences?
Also he said that if people want insurance they should pay for it. And I pointed out again that 1) a lot of people can't afford it even if they work full time and 2) some people can't get insurance companies to cover them.
It's also the last I'm going to say because this guy's logic is not earth logic.
