Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

That's why he got fired. It didn't matter if it was intelligent design or Girl Scout cookies, he was harassing his co-workers.

Even with girl scout cookies, people in general just ask if it's ok to leave their order sheets at the reception desk. People can buy them if they want. And they usually buy a box from each one of three or four sheets. I've been asked if I would like to attend someone's church/mosque/synagogue functions when something special is happening, and have of course been invited to bar mitzvahs and christenings. I think that's all fine. "We're doing a thing, would you like to come? No? Well, you're welcome if you change your mind!" That's how it's done, people.

My old boss from back in the day would order a dozen boxes of my favorite two kinds so we'd have a ton of them in the office to munch on.

I'm thinking a lot more people would buy into intelligent design if it were mint flavored and covered in dark chocolate.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Didn't JPL say it had nothing to do with behavior, he was just one of many laid off in budget cuts? Or did I misread. And all points of view would be more popular if mint flavored and covered in dark chocolate. Our local Peace group goes caroling every year and hands out free cookies. Popular.

Also at our local Lakefair, the Democrats sell Demoburgers, made with really high quality ground contributed by a local Democratic butcher. Republicans sell first rate barbeque . Bipartisanship that works!

Fuck, I can't believe I need another Nook. And...how little I want one in colour. E-ink all the way, baby. I love that shit. I'm definitely five or so months out of warranty...

it wouldn't hurt to take it back and say that you were thinking of getting a Kindle Fire. They might fix it just to keep you as a customer.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I like the way Vortex thinks and I agree.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I also agree with Vortex. Amazon has been pretty amazing with the out of warranty stuff, perhaps B & N will be too as a competitor.

HAppy late Birthday tommy!

I keep having these dreams that I am failing a college math or statistics class because I forgot to go to class, and I am trying to figure out how to drop it without penalty. It is driving me nuts. Last night I also dreamed that I at a first day for an academic summer camp, and all sorts of parents were there with their kids. I was just teaching a class, not in charge, but I had to help people find their folders, etc. Then somehow I ended up holding a little blonde baby, and could not find the parents! It was getting really squirmy and almost crying, and there were no parents and I had to go teach the class. And then I woke up.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have no recollection of what I dreamed last night, but it must have been a doozy - I apparently threw a pillow across the room in my sleep.

Wow, I had no idea Doonesbury was tackling abortion legislation this week. Of course, several papers are dropping or moving the strip this week: [link]

Here's today's strip: [link] I think the most brilliant part of the whole thing is the "A."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is more pointed than some pointy sticks.
