Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hope it's not to late to say happy birthday tommyrot!

And great pics of juliana's wedding. I love the red dress!

Fuck, I can't believe I need another Nook. And...how little I want one in colour. E-ink all the way, baby. I love that shit. I'm definitely five or so months out of warranty...

it wouldn't hurt to take it back and say that you were thinking of getting a Kindle Fire. They might fix it just to keep you as a customer.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I like the way Vortex thinks and I agree.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I also agree with Vortex. Amazon has been pretty amazing with the out of warranty stuff, perhaps B & N will be too as a competitor.

HAppy late Birthday tommy!

I keep having these dreams that I am failing a college math or statistics class because I forgot to go to class, and I am trying to figure out how to drop it without penalty. It is driving me nuts. Last night I also dreamed that I at a first day for an academic summer camp, and all sorts of parents were there with their kids. I was just teaching a class, not in charge, but I had to help people find their folders, etc. Then somehow I ended up holding a little blonde baby, and could not find the parents! It was getting really squirmy and almost crying, and there were no parents and I had to go teach the class. And then I woke up.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have no recollection of what I dreamed last night, but it must have been a doozy - I apparently threw a pillow across the room in my sleep.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Wow, I had no idea Doonesbury was tackling abortion legislation this week. Of course, several papers are dropping or moving the strip this week: [link]

Here's today's strip: [link] I think the most brilliant part of the whole thing is the "A."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is more pointed than some pointy sticks.

LeN, my ableminds account runs out in a week...should I re-up?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

OMG GoodReads forums. There is someone seriously trying to argue that Orson Scott Card is not a homophobe because "phobia" means "irrational fear" and what OSC has is a moral objection to homosexuality. Which is completely off-topic from the original question which was "Have you ever stopped reading an author's books because of their political views." STOP BEING WRONG ON THE INTERNET, PEOPLE.
