Because books.

It was driving me crazy that the bizarre wife in the Shamrock Shake commercial looked so familiar, and I just realized who she is -- the blonde from Center Stage (which just started on Logo). Also, baby!Zoe Saldana is adorable in this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's nothing like moving your laundry from the washer to the dryer in front of your apartment manager to make you realise just how many of your panties are pink and frilly. And the answer is: I never want to look at him again.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom has just informed me that he would be OK with a second line if the brass bands played Brit pop. Like, "Common People" or "Stupidly Happy" or "Mr. Blue Sky."

My second line will be all awesomeness for like a week. ALL THE MUSIC AND DANCING AND EATING AND DRINKING.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have possibly overly dramatic but near loathing for antivax. Because they don't want to get the diseases, they want everyone else in the herd to get the vax and protect them. It lacks understanding of how herd immunity is supposed to work - by every person who can getting the damn vax.

Rage.

So many issues these days are leaving me with the "you have GOT to be fucking kidding me!?!" response. I have no idea how to get through November without saying unfortunate things to people who I should probably not be paying attention.

Thrive to spite them

The other day as I was pulling into work I heard the start of an ad/PSA with Amanda Peet, she was talking about her child(ren?) and making the decision about vaccines. At first I thought it was going to be anti-vax, but it was pro-vaccine and was mentioned polio in Africa and measles and whooping cough in Europe and America.

After Googling I think it was for Vaccinate Your Baby. [link]

Huh. My old krav school made it into the evening news with a "get the training the elite soldiers get" teaser. Problem with TiVo, is that I never get the news show that they tease. But I saw Junior and Mike. Good on them.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh noes, Jessica! I'm hoping its the random rash reax and not German measles. Urgh.

Note: am listening to Mr. Blue Sky right now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I want to say Amanda Peet's brother in law is a pediatrician, which is how she got into vaccine activism? Or her husband, maybe.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Buffistas provide mindless activity on a day blighted by a new cold. Dabbit. The polish box is here! There was one wee leak, contained by the bubble wrap sleeve and zip bag. That bottle has been cleaned up, bottle neck, cap interior, and all. Almost all the polish is still in the bottle and still in good shape, so back in the box it goes. Remember to tighten down those caps before the tape goes on the box.

I am at present wearing four colors as bases and three as glazes--the most polish I've had on my nails for about six months. I've culled my own bins and added the culls to the box, and will be testing the rest of my choices in daylight tomorrow. A welcome undemanding pleasure between committments, so thank you, Buffistas!

Can somebody point me to the list, so I know who to send it out to on Monday?
