Oh, I want Amazing Grace, full bagpipe. Because I am that cliche'. My mom, though? Like Ginger's with Nearer My God, hated Amazing Grace, and did threaten to haunt me if I allowed it at her funeral. Which...she haunted me enough while she was here, I didn't want to risk it.
Dad was all How Great Thou Art, so that's what he got.
If you're asking, I want "I Can See Clearly Now" at my service. But y'all have given me some great ideas. Although really not planning on dying any time soon.
Oh, "I'll Fly Away" is great, too. I just put it on, actually!
I think I'd only want "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" if June Carter Cash could sing it, though.
ita !, I meant to tell you that my Jamaican student is related to Patterson. I asked her the other day.
OMG people, no one can die. lalalalalala I cannot here you. imaginary people in the box live forever and that is that.
I plan on flash mobbing anyone's service on here who dares leave. There might be songs from OMWF, there might also be loud reciting from the random quote generator.
I'd like "This Is My Song," but the UU version without the dominion-y bits. (This without the last verse.)
I went to the gym and picked up a new card so I have one less excuse to not work out. Then I decided that was as close to exercise as I was going to get today and got a pedicure.
I dunno. Maybe tubthumper?
(Please do not actually play tubthumper at my funeral. My mother will be really confused.)
I'd like Basement Jaxx's "Do Your Thing." Seriously! It's a song you can't hear without wanting to grin and dance.
My mother is in a choir and their choir director had a heart incident during rehearsal. Luckily a retired nurse (!) was in the choir and she immediately got bags of ice and put it on his chest while doing chest compressions waiting for the ambulance. Apparently she kept the man alive until the paramedics came.
