That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Third night in a row of waking up at 3 or 3:30 and not being able to get back to sleep. So unfair -- shouldn't my body be trying to get as much sleep as possible before the baby comes??

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So unfair -- shouldn't my body be trying to get as much sleep as possible before the baby comes??

In my experience, your body tries to acclimate you to sleeplessness in the third trimester by waking you up every two hours to pee and compressing your spine and internal organs to the point where no body pillow in the world can allow you to get comfortable.

Um. It's possible I didn't exactly enjoy pregnancy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am watching this show on animal planet where the family is upset with the kitty and they explain to the cat whisperer that their cat is "angry puking" on their bed and throughout the house.

I don't have cats, but I said to myself: since when do cats "revenge puke." The CW asks them: when have you last taken the cat to the vet?

It has been forever.

Ugh.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

okay, kitty is okay, but the CW thinks the throwing up was due to stress!

they have a 2 year old in the home.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, you guys -- I would really prefer not to today, and I have no excuse! No hives, no puking cat, no pregnancy, no nothing!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have hard things to do today, and it is all my fault. Don't wanna, upon further investigation.

Because books.

I have a K-3 strings concert at 2:30, which is sure to be pretty painful. That's it, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I sent that ass kissy email to my manager asking what I could take off her plate, so...she handed me a bunch of important stuff to do in her absence.

Oh. I'm not sure what I intended to happen, but I can see how, in retrospect, this was perfectly predictable.

Because books.

That does seem like the likely outcome. But ... you're helping? Yay?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

FRIDAY! And the project from hell WILL be done before I leave work today, even if it means I don't leave on time. Oh yes it will!

I had to skim, but it sounds like the last couple of days have sucked ass for many many people. I hope that doesn't continue.
