What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No catching houses on fire or flooding! Yikes! Definitely document things and wait for insurance to make the call on repairs.

Good news, brenda! Pets not eating is just so stressful.

Airing out the house, woohooo!

Today was in the actual 60s for a few minutes and I had windows open. So ready to air out the house after winter. Of course now the heater is back on but it was a glimpse of Spring and making me recall how much I love living with the house open for weeks and months at a time.

not your mom's socks.

I'm glad dogs are eating and that people are safe (stay safe, people) and I hope that your house turns out to be ok, Meara. Suzi, welcome back from surgery!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Please let my network continue to work this reliably. PLEASE. My router was really hinky. The new one seems to be working much better. Uh, so far. Measured in, uh, hours, However, the old one would fail that frequently.

I am still eating the slice of chocolate cake I ordered as a dessert Saturday. Maybe today I can fix it?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Just caught up -- Vonnie, I'm so glad you're okay, but, dear God how terrifying for everyone. And Suzi, glad you're home again and checking in and the kids are taking good care of you.

And yay Darby for the food-eating, and msbelle for buzzed flirting!

The status is NOT quo.

Wow, what a day! Ima point and nod at JZ’s post, because that’s pretty much exactly what I was about to say.

I’m in Massachusetts for the last of my RBT supervisor training sessions. I got in yesterday, did homework for the class last night, had class from 8-3 today, and did more homework. Tomorrow morning I’m meeting my trainer at a school in Plymouth to do a co-observation and analysis, and then I have to write that up into a big ol’ formal observation report. Then one more co-observation back and my own school and another co-observation report and I’ll be done. Phew.

The good news is that I get to see my mom for dinner tomorrow (yay!) and don’t catch a flight home until Saturday afternoon. I haven’t said anything to the Boston area peeps since I don’t know how much time I will have Saturday morning; I may end up meeting my cousin for brunch before I go to the airport.

Did I mention my comments are due on Tuesday and I haven’t had time to write a single one yet?

But...given Vonnie’s terrifying day and meara’s horrible plumbing incident and Suzi’s surgery and Darby not eating for a bit, I really can’t complain.

Sorry to miss you this time around, Pix. I hope you have a great trip.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yikes, glad to hear you're OK, Vonnie.

Last night I had to give a co-worker my best "Bitch, please!" look when she asked about having a final proofread pass on my current project. (Her inability to find time for one when scheduled screwed things up both deadline-wise and making the work itself more difficult for me and another co-worker her task got dropped on. Do what you've actually been assigned to do before you go looking for extra work to tack on at the end of the process.)
