I don't like the edges either. Those pans bewilder me. It's always been a struggle to see who gets the center, edgeless piece at my house.

I think it's funny how there are so many different pans to make the most edges -- I don't like the edges!
Me too. My mom makes very cakey, dry brownies. I don't really like them but the rest of my family is mad for them, and they fight over the edges, especially the corners.
Parent teacher conferences. Yay?
I love the edges, but those pans seem like cheating.
In other food news: WE HAVE CHOW EATAGE! Once yesterday, and again just now, the food level in the bowl is significantly reduced. Much more than the cat could have done.
I don't think the problem is gone, but I am so relieved.
Those pans are helpful out here where the altitude makes it hard for it to cook all the way through. One of the mountain women taught me to use cupcake tins, though, which work fine, and I can't really see the advantage of those pans over cupcakes.
brenda, I got a fancy doggy door installed yesterday (it was really expensive, but made in the USA and it's really completely draft free). Anyway, teaching the dogs to use it? Yikes. It's going to take a few days. I have the flap completely wide open and Chile still refuses to go through it (tried even CHEESE to coax her). So she's out on the porch, completely bewildered. Cayenne on the other hand? The one who makes me sleep with my bedroom lamp on because she's afraid of the dark? Bounded through the flap in less than 15 minutes.
And I've been reading of your troubles with getting Darby to eat and completely sympathizing because I deal with that with Cayenne. I am glad she ate tonight!
In short: oh, our animals.
Yay Darby with the eating! Good dog.
Good news, brenda!
No catching houses on fire or flooding! Yikes! Definitely document things and wait for insurance to make the call on repairs.
Good news, brenda! Pets not eating is just so stressful.
Airing out the house, woohooo!
Today was in the actual 60s for a few minutes and I had windows open. So ready to air out the house after winter. Of course now the heater is back on but it was a glimpse of Spring and making me recall how much I love living with the house open for weeks and months at a time.
I'm glad dogs are eating and that people are safe (stay safe, people) and I hope that your house turns out to be ok, Meara. Suzi, welcome back from surgery!
