Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(I honestly do feel just a bit weird about it and would not mention the connection if I ever found myself in Baltimore, Ireland.)

I've been to Baltimore, Ireland! It's beautiful, and a port town on the southernmost tip, so probably ideal for enslavinating Corsairs.

brillig

I do really want to go to Rabat, Morocco, and see the old quarter of Salee, where the Salee Rovers sailed from and where Murat Reis, ne Jan Jansen of Harleem of the Netherlands, ended up an Admiral of the Sultan's Fleet.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

John Barrowman has joined a period Shonda Rhimes show.

My manager has pushed my performance review from 3 to 4.

I have a portfolio review at 6:30.

The CIO wants me to do something I find incomprehensible, and I hate being the one that doesn't get it in the email chain.

Oy.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This seriously needs to stop happening in 2011.

I talked to Trudy Booth today, and her wonderful dog Dallas had to be put to sleep yesterday. She was 18 or 19, and was in a whole lot of pain.

And now my Mom just called me to tell me that my sister's GSD mix Ricky was also put to sleep this morning. He was 11. You could see from the picture taken that he was getting on in years.

Both were really, really good dogs, and were loved by their people, and everyone is very distraught over their losses.

Aw, poor Trudy. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry for your sister's dog too, Tom.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Aww, Dallas was such a wonderful dog.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, no. I am so sorry for these losses. Thanks for sharing the news, Tom.
