I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

how do you all feel about Texas reducing the number of meals prisoners get?

Three hots and a cot really does seem like the minimum you should expect.

Yeah, one of those things.

She's really cute with her mismatched socks.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kind of embarassingly, I didn't actually know what spaying was until just now! I don't know what I was thinking -- they tie their tubes?? Come on now.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yeah, our Jenny arrived preggers, delivered and went into heat two days later. We knew it was bad and wrong, but she was driving us crazy so we let her out. She was calm and happy and all attentive mama when she came back. And yup. So we had her spayed before things got too far along. She was able to continue to nurse her first litter, though, till they were eating well. Not a happy solution, but needs must.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Are the prisoners still getting the same number of calories? Are they making them into chipmunks? Isn't fewer supposed to be considered worse in just about every situation? I don't care so much about what prisoners have to look forward to, as much as it just seems inhumane and unhealthy. Andthe fact that sick prisoners still get three squares seems like an implicit admission of that.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, they're calling a meal served between 5 and 7 AM "brunch." That's just wrong.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In other news, apparently Louisiana just banned legal tender for second-hand merchandise.

Have legislators and policymakers lost their minds?

You cannot ban legal tender. Can you?

Amy - Oct 20, 2011 5:13:18 pm PDT #2536 of 30001
Because books.

So ... you're supposed to use illegal tender? Monopoly money? Barter?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This country is going insane.

Looks like it's not actually as bonkers as it sounds.
