Are the prisoners still getting the same number of calories? Are they making them into chipmunks? Isn't fewer supposed to be considered worse in just about every situation? I don't care so much about what prisoners have to look forward to, as much as it just seems inhumane and unhealthy. Andthe fact that sick prisoners still get three squares seems like an implicit admission of that.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Also, they're calling a meal served between 5 and 7 AM "brunch." That's just wrong.
In other news, apparently Louisiana just banned legal tender for second-hand merchandise.
Have legislators and policymakers lost their minds?
You cannot ban legal tender. Can you?
So ... you're supposed to use illegal tender? Monopoly money? Barter?
This country is going insane.
Looks like it's not actually as bonkers as it sounds.
cash without records. okay, I guess that's better. thank you for the clarification.
Oh, that's different. That's like when they passed that law a few years back about reporting purchases made in cash over a certain amount.

What in the flying fuck? That likely applies to my organization.
REGULAR dealers in secondhand goods, scrap metal, and junk are required to make records of cash deals of more than $25. Record includes ID of seller/buyer, description of goods (to include identifying marks if they exist), and cash exchanged.
Ah. Okay.
I nearly choked on my pizza. Which had cheese (two kinds) but no hummus.
If you got your pizza at Regnelli's (which I suspect you have) note that they do have a hummus app which is actually pretty tasty.

While this sounds crazypants (and I will be investigating it more thoroughly shortly) I will say that metal/copper theft and resale is a HUGE HUGE ENORMOUS issue here and it appears that is bill, however totally ridonkulous, is trying to address that.
If this bill is what it seems to be, it makes me laugh that Louisiana must go about and apply the EXACT WRONG SOLUTION in the MOST EGREGIOUS MANNER to an actual problem.
And I will admit to being pretty annoyed by the ha-ha aren't southern people the most fucking stupid people on the planet tone of the comments. They are politicians. Of course they're stupid. At least they're stupid and self-serving in a more entertaining manner than in the S-M-R-T-er states.
