Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So. Looks like my family might be doing some kind of big summer vacation this year. A week somewhere. (Long story -- our usual plans aren't working out, and my parents were supposed to go to Israel during the spring, but they're canceling because my father is scared of war with Iran, and so my mom wants to do something big to make up for not going to Israel.) She's asked my sister and me for suggestions as to where to go. I'm trying to think of good suggestions. My mom suggested Nova Scotia and PEI, and while I would love that (Anne of Green Gables stuff! And, whatever else is out there), I'm pretty sure my sister and father would be bored. Where should I suggest?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've never shipped to Jamaica, so I can't help you out with process, sorry.

I need to get ordained online and just stop talking about it. Then I will simply sit here and whine about how I never get to marry anyone and how much life sucks. Where did you get ordained, Lee?

I had it explained to me yesterday again how I clearly spoke "weird" ("t" thing was cited), but it seems that in most people's estimation it isn't elevated to the level of accent, but is instead in the realm of oddity, and also to where people get to tell me I'm saying things wrongly. Still have no idea what that looks like, though.

but my weight and age are consistently under guessed.

I'm probably oversensitive on this front, but I read *so* many things going across people's faces when they find out my age that I generally avoid revealing it unless I'm telling it to someone who's also about 43. Usually that's what it seems to be about -- "you're not my age???" So when I can actually be saying that, it's cool.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Birthday happies to PiBaby!!

I'd like to flatter myself and think I either sound *this* smooth on the phone (::insert barking laughter here::), or I'm the Spanish Inquisition. Not sure which one I'd prefer.

Well, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition, so...

Oh, thanks. Clearly I'm making stuff up in my head. I remember tales of getting stuff there, but they must have been about how to pack it for flying. Which I am not doing. Sadly.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

This weather is making me nuts. It looks so nice outside right now -- big fluffy clouds, the occasional bright sunbeam breaking through. But apparently all that warmth and sunshine is only going to make the storms later today WORSE, so instead of being able to appreciate it now, it's just making me nervous.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Your "t"s are not wrong or odd, they were just surprising. You on the other hand are both odd and often wrong, still I love you.

Happy birthday, PiBaby! SO CUTE!

It's clear & sunny here (again), though it was very chilly this morning.

brillig

Gobs of sun, below freezing. At least the snow will melt off the roads. (It's cool watching the steam rise from the asphalt)

Because books.

I thought ita sounded exactly like I imagined, but I remember being very surprised by the trace of a Southern accent when I talked to Barb the first time.

My favorite was a literary agent I had spoken to on the phone a zillion times, and his voice made me think: tall, lanky, glasses, sort of shy. Instead, he was hugely tall, built like a wrestler, with a bald head and a blond goatee and bright blue eyes.
