Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
Someone from a not-to-be-named software company and asked to be transferred to someone I'd never heard of. I think he introduced himself, but he didn't speak to me by name.
I expressed my confusion, and told him that I wasn't usually in the business of accepting and transferring calls, and he actually backed off and called the front desk instead. But how completely rude. I mean, even if you know that person B is my co-worker (she's not in my team), if you don't know me, why would you call me and ask for her?
The earring in my other ear leapt out in my car yesterday evening, and fell somewhere I can't find. That's a crap-assed earring design.

It almost sounds to me like he thought the 2 hour interview was going to start at the time he showed up and he booked something else for 2 hours later. Then decided to bail and go to the other thing come hell or high water.

Sort of. He was hoping for a different arrangement than what I'd outlined in the job announcement, and when I told him there was no wiggle room there, he bailed. This is a small town, and a small profession, so we were all sort of stunned that he'd leave in a way that would make a bad impression.
