I would look on-line, really. Like, today. I ended up with red soccer socks. Those things are TIGHT. DAMN.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
ETA: Tip to smonster -- start looking for orange knee-high socks NOW. I tried finding them the day of the party and it was unpossible.
No worries on the machete. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my thrifted steampunk crossbow when I moved! Wonder if I can recreate.
Gonna check Target this weekend, and if not then Sock Dreams. Also I'm going to go thrifting and would love to find a turtleneck orange sweater that I could cut the sleeves off and distress.
I've reached the point of travel preparation where I'm trying to remember what I've forgotten to do and to think of things that haven't occurred to me yet, which is kind of a recursive procedure.
my Velma machete with the eyeshadow
Trust this bunch to come up with a machete that wears eyeshadow.
Skipping at the end of the holiday (happy Sukkot to all who celebrate it!) because, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is a double Buffista birthday, both Matt the Bruins fan's and Cashmere's.
Happy birthday, Matt! Happy birthday, Cash! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Three words: Lake effect snow.
Yeah, I have no idea about the college, but I lived very near there in climate terms (Ohio side, but just south of the lake (side note: to this day, I consider great lake sized lakes to qualify as lakes and everything smaller to be ponds)) and it was COLD! And snowy. Of course, I was a kid. I loved it very much. I played in the snow and made a show of shoveling until I got bored whereupon I went inside and was plied with hot cocoa which I drank in front of the fireplace. It was a pretty blissful childhood. I missed all the bits where my folks were digging out through yards of ice, or trying to drive in sludgy black meltoff for months after winter was "over."

Me too, and ditto! Although I never did dress up as Velma. But I've worn those socks.

For a pro writer, I phrased THAT wrong!
But yeah, machetes and high-end make-up: hells, yeah, we're Buffistas! We rock the iconoclastic awesome randomness!
It is also Megan Walker's birthday! A Buffista triple-whammy!
Birthday Happies for Cash, Megan, Matt and ita !'s dad!
