Three words: Lake effect snow.
Yeah, I have no idea about the college, but I lived very near there in climate terms (Ohio side, but just south of the lake (side note: to this day, I consider great lake sized lakes to qualify as lakes and everything smaller to be ponds)) and it was COLD! And snowy. Of course, I was a kid. I loved it very much. I played in the snow and made a show of shoveling until I got bored whereupon I went inside and was plied with hot cocoa which I drank in front of the fireplace. It was a pretty blissful childhood. I missed all the bits where my folks were digging out through yards of ice, or trying to drive in sludgy black meltoff for months after winter was "over."
I ended up with red soccer socks. Those things are TIGHT. DAMN.
Me too, and ditto! Although I never did dress up as Velma. But I've worn those socks.
Trust this bunch to come up with a machete that wears eyeshadow.
For a pro writer, I phrased THAT wrong!
But yeah, machetes and high-end make-up: hells, yeah, we're Buffistas! We rock the iconoclastic awesome randomness!
It is also Megan Walker's birthday! A Buffista triple-whammy!
Birthday Happies for Cash, Megan, Matt and ita !'s dad!
Happy bizirthday, everyone!
Happy birthdays!
Happy Sukkot!
I want a baby, so that I can dress it like this: [link]
Man, I love online library renewal.
I got to meet Stephanie for breakfast and brin her Trader Joes goodies! Now on plane home. Sad I didnt have time to stop at the outlet mall, but better for my wallet I guess. Flying to SF tonight and dancing all weekend (big gay country dancing weekend in Megan walker's neighborhood!)
Yay, meara, that's awesome!
eta: Okay, doing online renewal means I can defer my errand running today to tomorrow. That's helpful, because I have to go into town tonight anyway, and I didn't want to have to make two runs today. But it means, I need to be extra productive today.
I would like to: complete data entry, update budget, get filing current, finish office clean-up, do flylady tasks, plant onions and garlic. Oh, and get everything in the car for tomorrow's errands. I honestly don't think all of that's achievable today, but it should be by Sunday if I'm persistent.
