Yikes.
A former coworker of mine died from a terrible disease she got not long after being laid off, but long enough that she couldn't retroactively apply for the COBRA coverage she had declined. The whole thing was really sad.

The weirdest thing is that I was JUST thinking about him today. I saw a figure moving past my desk, and I idly thought it was him, even though I knew it wasn't. I hadn't thought about him in weeks.
P-C wow. Would I have known him?

Tanks-got it.

Ugh, reality just hit me again
Hang in there, lady.
I'm so sorry, ita. Try to breathe slow and even. Batbelt can be refinished, even better, maybe. Sending head-ease-ma.
meara, we're planning to drive up to New Halem and Twisp--pretty leaves up there.
Timelies all!
More ~ma for ita and her mom.
Speaking of disease epidemics, Seanan McGuire has written and recorded a Schoolhouse Rock style song about the Black Death(and her take on what caused it). It's called "The Black Death".
