Very glad you are able to go, ita.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Lots of ~ma for ita !'s mom. (Did I punctuate that correctly?)
Saw my hemotologist today. New doc - very cute. Anyway, my iron levels are still good. Last iron infusion was last April. Nice that it is lasting a long time. Who knows when I'll need to get another one.
I'm glad you're able to go, ita. And I hope the car thing is as painless as possible - you don't need any more stress right now.
I hope I'll want to cry less when I'm there.
Realistically, you probably won't. And that's OK. The physical closeness makes up for the fact that the bad stuff is also right in your face. You will be around people who know how you like to be comforted and when, instead of trying to deal with it on your own.
Give yourself permission to cry if you need to. For me, it's incredibly cathartic. It's like I'm letting go of all of the stuff that will eat me from the inside otherwise.
Maria is wise. And you'll be there, with family, going through it together. It'll be better, even if it's worse.
It'll be better, even if it's worse.
And Liese says in one sentence what I tried to convey in 2 paragraphs.
ND is doing his best to make the car buying thing easy. I'm in good hands there. And so far, Geico has been remarkably efficient--they got my title sorted out in five minutes, and I'd given up on it years ago.
As for crying, it's not actually something I do in front of family. So that stress will be there. We'll see.
It'll be better, even if it's worse.
That makes an incredible amount of sense.
As for crying, it's not actually something I do in front of family.
Yeah, when my mom died I didn't cry in front of my Dad or sister, but I did let down with my friend's ex-girlfriend. Somebody I liked but didn't have any complex web of I-comfort-you-or-you-comfort-me etc.
As for crying, it's not actually something I do in front of family.
I try not to either because it sets off a chain reaction. I find a secluded corner and let enough out to get through the next period of time. This board is where I give myself permission to cry and rant and rave.
Basically, don't bottle that stress up if you can avoid it.
Well, this will certainly end well:
DHS Launches ‘Minority Report’ Pre-Crime Detection Program:
"The department's Science and Technology Directorate has conducted preliminary research in operational settings to determine the feasibility of using non-invasive physiological and behavioral sensor technology and observational techniques to detect signs of stress, which are often associated with intent to do harm," according to a statement DHS gave CNET.
Um. They are also associated with BEING STRESSED.
