And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"Hulk sad."

Heh.

I had an oh-so-graceful moment today at work. I was attaching a pipe and my wrench slipped, my ladder tipped and I took a bit of a face plant into the wall. And yet... I did not fall off the ladder! My face hurts a little though.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We bought some of those cookies too, but we just ate them with milk. Yum. I love Joe-Joes.

Kids had the big soccer picnic and photo day. Egad, we are ALL toast, but poor DH had to go into work this evening to clean up the server room. That sucks, I so feel for him. It's like my sucking grading days that go on past midnight.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have not opened my cookies yet.

I R DUMB

I'm telling you -- chocolate covering them with pretty designs makes them even more delicious!

The kids have been on a ROLL today. I am sort of looking forward to tomorrow since I'll be at WORK where they are not!

Now tagless for your comfort.

We Scrimmaged a team that came down from Michigan for derby practice. Such a big improvement for a craptastic weekend.

I dread the giant puppy teenaged years of speedy growth and subsequent propery and physical damage.

I managed to shut Perkins the cat in the linen closet this afternoon and not notice for an hour or so.

He was not amused.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hope ita ! saw the shoutout to her on the Good Stuff yesterday...

Ha!

So I need to get time off so I can go home next week. Mother's drawn up her will, and my father is revising his in light of hers (what is that all about?). Nobody's chosen to tell me anything about the contents, but maybe they will tell me when I get there.

This either makes car shopping simpler or more complicated. I don't know which,

Oh lord, ita. This is not prognosis based changing, right?

We are going to look at a new school for Grace tomorrow AM. PLEASE let it work out.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hope it works, Kat.

That's scary stuff, ita, but it's probably just wise preparation. I know I've said this here before, but it's a good practice for everyone to have their end of life documents in order, regardless of apparent health. So your mum is probably just taking a good precaution.

We're currently learning the signs for sports stuff from the DVDs my mom sent.

The new school is further away, but I hope (a) I like the teacher and (b) the program will work schedule wise. ALSO the new school has a nurse on site 5 days a week, which, given our aide, would be a nice change. Our aide has not yet suctioned Grace while she has been at school and does not know how to deal with "this stuff" (imagine her hand twirling around her neck, where a trache would be).
