Don't I get a cookie?

Spike ,'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I took a shower, helped my in-laws take some more mementos out of the house, and went with my sister to pick up Rob's vehicle from the dealership 30 miles away. I'm gonna call that productive.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Maria, that sounds more than productive. How are you doing?

Good days and bad days. The pain isn't as sharp, but I keep finding more screwed up crap that is making the mechanics of his estate difficult.

I don't care how little you have, please write a will. It really is a blessing for those left behind.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay on the good days, not so yay on the bad days.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

You all know the thing with the more lunatic part of the right (not tarring all or most conservatives) hating on the girl scouts cause they let in GLBT kids and atheists? Girl scouts with Dad at store today, and guy comes up and starts ranting (at girl scouts not Dad) about how they are a radical anti-Christian group. Dad looked like he was seriously considering punching the guy, for which I don't blame him. I walked up and said "you just sold a box of girl scout cookies". Asshole walked away, unpunched. And I now haz "Thank U berry munch" flavor girl scout cookies. Made with real cranberries, but not with real girl scouts.

I would add that I'm pretty confident that the asshole was unusual, even among those of his opinion. I'm pretty sure most people who feel the way he does would find some way to express that view without confronting a little girl. Although if your political view already has you hating girl scouts...

{{{Maria}}} I'm sorry that things are so complicated and difficult.

He was ranting at a bunch of minors and that he had the moral high ground? People suck.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I cleared the kennel. I cleaned off the cementboard, which gave me extra gravel to fill in the bit that always gets muddy just inside the gate. I still need to weed it, but that will have to wait.

Then I went to town, gassed up the van, and bought the SO's present! The local kitchen store had just had a cooking demo and the guy gave me 20% off even though I didn't actually attend the demo! So I bought him this paring knife. It's a level down from the stainless steel set, but I really liked it at the store, and we can build up from there. And it was in my budget. I'm sad to lose the crazy big deal, but I think keeping it in budget is worthwhile. And I bought eggs.

Then I met up with the SO for early dinner, headed to Walgreens for peanut butter and beer, and aired up the tires. I dropped off a guitar at the Coffee House for one of our students and got a caramel macchiato.

On the way home, there was a big fire in the debris pile at the pellet fuel factory so the road home was closed. Scary in the wind. But hopefully the rain and snow will help out.

Okay, next! I need to bring in the charger, and gather up the kindling. Oh, and bring in the laundry! Okay, getting moving again.

Thrive to spite them

Unfortunately that's not the first time I've heard about someone going off on Girl Scouts selling cookies.

You know I don't agree with the Boy Scouts but when I see them selling popcorn I don't go up and rant to the Boy Scouts.
