You know I don't agree with the Boy Scouts but when I see them selling popcorn I don't go up and rant to the Boy Scouts.

First time I'd heard of it or encountered it. Honestly my thought was that this guy had serious non-political issues. I can't believe that even holding an anti-girl scout political ideology translates into actually saying mean things to girl scouts very often. But maybe I'm being naive.

I haven't even seen anyone selling GS cookies! Where are my Samoas, childrens? I can't eat any of them until I lose 20 pounds, but I can pet them and think about eating them.

I saw some but I didn't buy any and now I can't find any sellers. Usually what I do is buy 1 box and then give the troop money for the other box(es) I would have bought.

I've been flailing all week about Trayvon Martin and the agony his family is enduring and the unmitigated bullshitfulness of the man who killed him still walking around free as the air; it's just been making me sick with rage, in a completely stupid and unproductive way. I signed the Change.org petition, but I've got no money to spare, and do the chief of police or the FL atty general's office give one shit on earth what some white chick in San Francisco thinks?
But, God damnit I want to do something. I just keep looking at the pictures of him, only about a year and a half older than Emmett, who's also a hoodie-wearing teen who likes to take commercial-break runs to the corner store for random treats, and whose risk of the same horrible, stupid death Trayvon died is zero, for such stupid bullshit reasons. That boy was someone's Emmett, and to some wannabe-cop total stranger he was less than shit. And the wannabe-cop went home that very night and went to sleep in his own bed under his own roof. How is that even fucking possible?
