How severe were the nosebleeds? Are they different from what you've experienced before?
For me, I get them always through the winter, related to our low humidity out here. And often timed with my period. It does sometimes feel like it's draining from higher in my nasal cavity, but for me there's no associated infections. It's not uncommon to have an accompanying mild sore throat as often not all the blood drains through the nose, and obviously blood trickling can irritate your throat. The ear popping I have not experienced in ssociation with nosebleeds.
I have had nosebleeds occasionally over the years, the one this morning was definitely more severe than previous ones, but none of them have been out of control (lasting more than 10 minutes). All the others stopped very quickly.
I don't have "allergies", but I do have sensitivities to things (citrus, for example). It could be that it is too dry in the house. The temperature fluctuations might be fucking me up too.
okay, thanks y'all. I took some claritin. we will see what happens.
My experience is that it's sometimes hard to get the nose to heal properly, especially if it keeps getting re-irritated.
heh. understatement of the year! thanks.
I know nothing about nosebleeds but I do know that little Ryan and his Waltzing Matilda are adorable.
This is me, right now. It needs to get gone more than I need the cash. I need to just pack it all up, take it to Goodwill, get - and save - the receipt, and take the lot of it off my taxes next year. Hm. That might even actually be more profitable than Craigslisting the stuff, and certainly easier. Come on, motivation, where are you? Did I leave you in the garden again?
I stopped using Freecycle and Craigslist mostly due to not wanting to deal with flakes. I now donate EVERYTHING and definitely keep those receipts for taxes. I need the write-offs and when it comes to 50 things, I can't deal with the admin time around listing the items and dealing with people. This decision has saved my sanity. Especially that now after I create the pile, I can hire a taskrabbit to come take it all away and send me the receipt.
billytea - lovely to hear Ryan sing. Thank you.
Also, I'm in! How's it going, Windsparrow? Scrub the shower while you're in there, Teppy! What's on your list, Zen?
I have: put the laundry in and spent a half hour looking for my lost arrow. It was a pre-storm task, I sweaar!
The rest of today I need to: clean the dog's kennel and yard, brush the dog, sort the recyclables, take the recyclables, buy eggs and peanut butter, and weed. Err, I need to weed, not buy weed. Despite my Astrid task's instruction to the contrary.
Once the SO gets home I need to charge the charger in case we lose power. And find where the snow shovel and ice scrapers are. I found the jar of ice melt.
The dog already doesn't want to go out because it's so windy, but I explained to him how he's about to refuse to go for three days and he had better enjoy it now.
Ok, tackle the kennel next, I think.
I have indoor office tasks, but I figure I might as well save those for when I'm snowed in.
Op, no, laundry just finished. I'll try hanging that out first. Then kennel.
(Wait, how do we play the game? Go be productive and report back?)
A lot of times it's been taken it to email, but I don't know how necessary that is.
Here are my goals for the day: To declutter my desk and straighten up the area around it; to work on any of the three stories I've started writing on; sweep kitchen floor; clean the bathroom, including the floor; to do a load of laundry.
Daniel and I have already worked out in the yard for 45 min. but there is still plenty to do out there - we'll have to figure out exactly what we're going to accomplish after we have some lunch.
