Wait? Aims was in a Buffy ep? No way!
ION- I have just battled iCal/iCloud/MobileMe, and come out alive. I wouldn't say I have won, since iCloud took away some features, but I got the work 10.6.8 machine to sync iCal with the iCloud. O.M.G. it took forever. So hopefully my calendars are all happy again. (Yes, there are FORTY! calendars!! Some are sign outs for gear. Most are for the individual shows. But yeah, 40 calendars. Half of which are subscribed to)
Well, I hear there may be ten movies starting filming here in the next month, so if I don't find something else, I could keep doing this for a while. Glad it's entertaining, it's keeping me amused. And from killing the extras behind me who won't STFU, even while filming.
What, I just watched "Hush"! I didn't know I was supposed to be looking out for Aims!

When it's chaos in the streets and Buffy is roaming through Sunnydale she passes some people clustered around a fire in a trashcan. Aimee is the one drawing focus by tucking her hair behind her ear.
and to put a cap on my fabulous week (and yes, that is scarcasm font), I just got a call from a professor, one of the dance studios... yeah. It's speakers just burst into flames. Nothing says the last day of classes for the quarter like speakers bursting into flames.
Mind you, I've been doing this sound thing for about 20 years now. Never. Have I heard of SPEAKERS bursting into flames.
My favorite part. The professor describing it to me. (paraphrase) "Yeah, it was sounding really bad. Thin. Worse than normal. Painful to the ears. And then a little while longer, I looked up and saw the speakers were on fire".
1) If it was painful, why did you keep playing it
2) I notified the office 2 days ago it wasn't working properly, so why were you using it in the first place?
Yup. That summerizes what this quarter has been. The workbench is littered with gear that isn't working. And now, shit bursting into flames. Oh look. I'm at 40 hours. I'm going home. (well, after I head down to look at the carnage, of course)
Happy spring break omnis, sounds like you've earned it.
They are obviously cursed or possessed. Take salt and holy water.
::flopping over::
I wish I could flail, but I'm exhausted.
We made it home in one piece. Actually, the little guy was nearly perfect in the car for more than four hours.
There are a metric tonne (ita's spelling seems more appropriate by virtue of having more letters) of stuff we need to do. Lordy. This is going to be something.
As everyone knows, he's very, very different from Bartleby in ways that will have me exerting loads more physical energy. He's only 7lbs. heavier, but roughly twice as strong. No lie. My shoulder already hurts.
He LOVES other dogs, like unto I have never seen. He's polite in a puppy way and has had great luck with being accepted by everyone we've met so far. My landlord is totally smitten...which is nice.
Two pretty big struggles so far...he peed! The foster _swore_ that he'd never had an accident in her house. Sigh.
Plus, he 'mouths' way too much. There is also jumping.
Still...he's adorable and crate trained and seems to really like me. He also fetches! I hardly know how to feel about that having spent 10 years chasing the ball myself.
Wish us luck!
He is adorable.
Glad you guys made it home.
