::flopping over::
I wish I could flail, but I'm exhausted.
We made it home in one piece. Actually, the little guy was nearly perfect in the car for more than four hours.
There are a metric tonne (ita's spelling seems more appropriate by virtue of having more letters) of stuff we need to do. Lordy. This is going to be something.
As everyone knows, he's very, very different from Bartleby in ways that will have me exerting loads more physical energy. He's only 7lbs. heavier, but roughly twice as strong. No lie. My shoulder already hurts.
He LOVES other dogs, like unto I have never seen. He's polite in a puppy way and has had great luck with being accepted by everyone we've met so far. My landlord is totally smitten...which is nice.
Two pretty big struggles so far...he peed! The foster _swore_ that he'd never had an accident in her house. Sigh.
Plus, he 'mouths' way too much. There is also jumping.
Still...he's adorable and crate trained and seems to really like me. He also fetches! I hardly know how to feel about that having spent 10 years chasing the ball myself.
Wish us luck!
He is adorable.
Glad you guys made it home.
Oh, bonny, what an adventure you are undertaking. What a sweet looking guy.
Whoa. Speakers in flames. Gonna take a stand, say it's not good.
My phone is going to die, and I may finish my actual book, and then what the hell will I do? Should have brought my charger.
Overheard rumors of another movie going bankrupt, extras not getting paid. Not answering any ads for that one!
I did not know there were buffistas who did not know aims was in
Hush.
Also
Mr. Willis From Ohio
on West Wing (where she also can be identified by the hair tuck thing), and an episode of The Practice whose episode title I don't know, but she was a featured, in your face, totally can't miss her extra on that one. As a juror.
ETA: stuff
Xpost with bonny. So cute!! I'm sure you'll have him trained in no time.
The spots on his ears are so cute!!!
bonny, I'm so excited for you!
bonny, he's adorable! I'm so happy for you both!
Flames bad. And, frankly, if I am saying that, they are. Because I adore fire.
I don't know if I'll ever get a dog, but reading your tips over the years has definitely shown me what my ex and I did wrong when it came to all the dogs we ever had.
It's cemented that I am a cat person. Not in a bad way. Just I realize I don't want kids and I don't want a dog. Hell, I don't even want a kitten ever again probably. I like the solitary and able to fend for themselves entities.
Once upon a time I loved kittens. And kinda wanted kids. Could have been maybe persuaded into a dog. But now? I'm more settled. And I like to visit other people's kittens and kids. Dogs are still a case-by-case sell. I adore some and am glad others belong to other people.
Someone needs to motivate me to Freecycle stuff I couldn't (half-assedly) sell on Craigslist. Even if the money would be awesome and make me feel better about getting rid of things, actually getting rid of the things is better. Right? I mean, an old food processor has value but I really do care more about getting it out of my house and should act on that.
