Beverly, that paint-choosing quote is painfully funny. That sounds like my sister and me at the paint store. "I want a light green, but not a mint green, and not a yellow-green, with just a hint of brown but not obviously brownish, and light enough to reflect the light from the night-light in the hallway, otherwise that tiny bathroom is too dark at night!"

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That quote is right one and explains why all my walls are white. I can't settle on a color to save my life.
One of the greatest things about painting is that if the color turns out to be not perfect, you can paint over it! I picked the perfect (perfect!) green for my living room, but selected the color during a freakishly sunny day. As soon as i finished the room it was cloudy and i realized that it was too dark. So i went back to the store the next day, got a couple gallons one shade lighter on the same swatch, and BAM! Perfection. Sure, it's extra time and $$$, but not like making a bad selection on tiles or flooring material.
And totally seconding doing a larger sample once you are narrowed down a bit. At least 1 ft square...the bigger the better. Scrap wood or even cardboard that's been primed works great. Then you can move it around the room, next to furniture, in different places re: windows, etc. Those wee bitty swatches are great if you are mentally able to extrapolate to an entire wall...i've never been able to do that.
Man, I've been having a freaky physical thing for the past 24 hours. I've had 5 instances of LOTS of blood in my stool. . . really it's more blood than stool and the result is that I feel really weak and I'll be heading to the doctor in about an hour. I am having difficulty imagining that it could be something not scary but can I get some ~less scary ma please?
I, of course, googled and kind of freaked myself out.
sumi,
lot's of ma for you. Oh man.
Health ~ma, sumi! Yikes.
Holy hell, that would freak anyone out. I'm glad you are headed to the doctor - lots of ~ma, sumi!
Quick~fix~ma, sumi.
Thank you all.
It's not reassuring when you tell the nurse what's up and she says - you have to come in.
No maybe.
Let us know what the doctor says sumi, and deep breaths until you get there.
