Man, I've been having a freaky physical thing for the past 24 hours. I've had 5 instances of LOTS of blood in my stool. . . really it's more blood than stool and the result is that I feel really weak and I'll be heading to the doctor in about an hour. I am having difficulty imagining that it could be something not scary but can I get some ~less scary ma please?
I, of course, googled and kind of freaked myself out.

It's not reassuring when you tell the nurse what's up and she says - you have to come in.

I hope it's nothing or easily fixable, sumi, and if it's any consolation, bright red blood usually indicates the fixable things. I say that as a person who has googled some version of "GI bleeding" roughly a gazillion times in the last few weeks.
I have been pretty much been offered a full or part-time canvassing position where I go door to door and talk to people about refinery accidents.
