Buffy: How bored were you last year? Giles: I watched 'Passions' with Spike. Let us never speak of it.

'Beneath You'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

What paint are you using, sj? The probably have the colors online. Also, most stores that sell paint these days have the magic color matcher machine, so you can just take in the quilt.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Happy paint picking, sj!

So, if I'm going to meet with someone at an environmental nonprofit about volunteering, I should still dress professionally (knowing I will likely outdress them) and bring a resume, justincase?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sj, that's a lovely quilt.

Choosing paint colors is fraught with difficulty. I still haven't found the right green for the upstairs bath.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I didn't think of that. They do have their color chart online. I don't have time to point out all the individual shades I am looking at though because I should already be gone. I want a yellow for the living room, a pale blue for the master bedroom that would go well with the quilt I just linked to, a taupe for the smallest bedroom, and a pale lavender to go in the guest bedroom. I haven't decided about the bathroom yet. I want to find a shower curtain before I decide that color. The kitchen is completely tile at the moment, so I won't be painting in there unless we decide to gut the whole thing.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

One warning is that blues tend to come out way more blue on the wall than on the sample.

Thanks brenda. I think to play it safe I'm going to go one shade lighter on every color I think I want.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Go you, smonster, with the networking!

Morgellons disease is one of those illnesses that have transmogrified into a debate between science and pseudoscience. Patients tend to be self diagnosed, symptoms include the sensation that something is crawling through the skin and skin leisons with weird synthetic fibers in them. The patients think the fibers are growing from their bodies, or were implanted there. The CDC claims that it isn't a disease, so most patients are diagnosed as suffering from delusional thinking, and are assumed to be causing their own symptoms albeit probably unconsciously. It's a mess.

It had a brief moment of popularity as an illness when Joni Mitchell claimed she had it.

I have a friend who discovered an open, irritated wound on her arm and then freaked out when she found little blue fibers in it. But you know, went to the doctor, doctor looked at the fibers and looked at her hoodie and pointed out the fibers came from the sweater and to stop wearing it until her arm healed. Friend was delighted at the simple, logical answer to her problem.

Thrive to spite them

Penny's blood work is back, she might have an infection , it might be something else. But we're starting with an antibiotic.

Dean goes to the vet tomorrow for rabies shot.

Penny is in the dog crate, which is more of a "micro studio" and she's not happy, but hopefully this will keep her from moving around too much. There's no room for a litter box so I'll have to let her out to eat and use one.
