It's a crap situation smonster, but it's good to hear you taking it in such equanimity.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Smonster sorry to hear you were laid off.
I'm glad I have an appointment for Penny tomorrow, she has a hard knot at the base of her incision. It wasn't there yesterday. I never found a small onesie. I looked at the smallest but it would have been too small. Now I'm having some anxiety the vet will think I'm a bad cat owner. Penny is already stressesd out from being cooped up she was running in circles. I don't know what she'll be like if I have to confine her to a smaller space.
I'm sorry, smonster. I hope it ends up being one of those damn blessings in disguise.
askye, vets know better than anyone how hard it is to keep a cat from whatever she wants.
askye, the shelter we volunteer at always has problems with animals wearing cones. Dogs manage to get at their stitches.
I was going to try the cone again but I can't figure out where it is.I'm at least hoping she and Dean don't get in a fight tonight. They almost did last night. A real fight not just playing.
Can you shut her in the bathroom, askye?
sorry smonster
Went to a storytelling evening tonight, which most of my friends had gone to last night, but of course it turned out several people I knew were there anyway. It's a small gay world.
And I just have to say...OMG, one of them is so damn hot. I mean, I knew she was. But she's totally my type, and has this adorable thick Canadian accent, and tonight she also SANG, and has a lovely voice...sigh. Too bad she's married and lives in Canada, eh?
Smonster... I'm not sure what to say. Sucks that you are outta work, just as you were starting to get traction in NoLa. But. Judging by the posts you put up recently, I can't help but wonder if this is a blessing in disguise. You are awesome, and I know you will land on your feet! Keep your chin up, freshen up that resume, solicit recommendations from the old job, and hit the ground with confidence. You can do it!!
