Smonster... I'm not sure what to say. Sucks that you are outta work, just as you were starting to get traction in NoLa. But. Judging by the posts you put up recently, I can't help but wonder if this is a blessing in disguise. You are awesome, and I know you will land on your feet! Keep your chin up, freshen up that resume, solicit recommendations from the old job, and hit the ground with confidence. You can do it!!
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
{{Maria}}, fingers and ~mas are crossed for you. smonster, I'm sorry.
InmeNews: about to start my Graduate English Writing course today. Needless to say, but after spending the last few years of my life here, I'm quite excited to improve my English grammar and writing. You can all credit yourselves.
Educated memorization of phrasal verbs, here I come!
Psstt. Your English is better than many of us Americans.
Yeah, right.
Other than that, I'm getting slacky on Hebrew. God knows why, but I started treating grammatically to words such as "ideas", "wishes", etc. (and ONLY to them), which are all in plural masculine, as singular feminine.
It's the right way to do grammar in Arabic (all things that aren't people, in plural, are considered as singular feminine), but I didn't practice mine in years. It's very, very odd.

Wheee! (It's possible that I'm not right)
I woke up hungry and with a headache, so no sleeping in for me on my first day of Best Layoff Ever 2: Unemployed Boogaloo. But hey! I can always take a nap later. I'm going to sit down today and plan out things to get done (started a list last night) and free ways to have fun. Might go out to the state park in the bayou, walk around. I think it's supposed to be gorgeous today, so maybe I'll take Frankie to City Park.
smonster, best wishes for landing on your feet.
smonster, you grabbed the reins of your life when you moved to NOLA, and I know the same drive which got you there will get you a new and better job.
Penny went to the vet. She's healing well, but the vet is worried about her extra tooth - it's going to have to come out. Also her gingivitis might be a bigger issue, I haven't been brushing her teeth but I need to.
And the vet is worried somewhat about the bleeding under her skin, so she drew blood to check the platelets.
I need to keep Penny quiet and mostly confined for at least another week. I have the dog crate I used to move Dean and Maddie up here, so I'm going to clean it up and try to keep her in there for the most part of the day.
The vet first saw Penny when she was a kitten (before I got her) and the vet is extremely pleased with how she is doing and said she's really healthy and active and she wasn't sure Penny was going to make it at first.
This whole thing, plus the IC FLare/UTI and now having a stuffy nose/head has just had my anxiety cranked up higher.

Good idea. We had to keep Teddy from running around too much after his kidney transplant. We used a large dog crate and fixed it up almost like a kitty studio apartment.
The one I have isn't huge, but I was using it to hold the litter box so I need to take it apart and really clean it before I put her in it.
