Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yes. And I already said she would if necessary. The question wasn't, will she do what's right, but, does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with the cat? She can't get to the vet until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest and she's worried.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sorry. I interpreted you to mean she was hesitant to go to the vet. I know diddly about cat illnesses, but it does sound like the best next step for a frail anorexic elderly cat dragging a limb.

Well, she is hesitant, but mainly because she doesn't have any money. She'll do what's right. I guess I wasn't clear.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Zen, with a 17 year old cat, that could be a lot of different things, but none of the scenarios ends well. It sounds like he's in pain. I just went through this so I know how hard it is, but it sounds like it's his time. If she doesn't have a lot of money, a kind vet will skip the tests if he thinks they won't change the final decision.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Zen, I think she needs to take the kitty in.

Nora, I haven't read the full description. I will this weekend.

It may be just me and one crew member today. A crew member just texted in that he couldn't sleep last night - I suspect that he was up reading. Which I understand, but damn. You know two people are out sick and you know how much we need to do today, and it's a short day, and you can't suck it up and make it through? WTF.

My day is not starting well. Om...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Question is... do I call him on it? And if he cops to it, do I write him up or otherwise chastise him?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I never knew you could call in tired.

ETA: I would think that alone would be worth calling him on.

I never knew you could call in tired.

Right?

Our wings are not tired.

That would make my head explode. Can you imagine the hundreds or thousands of times that those of us with insomnia issues, or kids, or a good novel at hand have crawled our butts into work on little to no sleep? Suck it up, dude.
