sj, that's fantastic! What a difference! That's the way it should be!
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Plus, free grill!
Yay, sj!
{{{Maria}}} Thinking of you every day.
So I'm kind of scared. My doctor found that my thyroid was enlarged during a routine physical last week. I had an ultrasound done and I have a nodule on my thyroid. I'm now in the waiting room of an ENT doctor that I've been referred to. I hope it's no big deal.
{{{Glamcookie}}} Tons of it's nothing~ma headed your way.
Great news, sj!
Seconding the it's-nothing-ma for Glamcookie.
Frank, I think you asked me a while back what town the new house is in, and I can't remember if I replied or not. It's in Holden, fwiw.
Glamcookie,
I don't know what that means, but a lot of 'ma headed your way.

Also, near Worcester, I assume?
And Google maps shows me, yes, just a bit North of there.

Speaking as someone who has gone through this, I can tell you that 95-99% of thyroid nodules are benign. I do suspect the next step for you will be a biopsy just to make sure. It's a fairly simple proceedure done with a long needle that they insert into the nodule and suck out some cells. They'll pull out cells from 3-4 places. My doc always sprayed a numbing agent on my neck so it didn't even really hurt. Just a pressure.
I'm surprised they sent you to an ENT. An endocrinologist is a thyroid specialist.
I'd be glad to answer any questions you have.
Whole lot of nothing~ma, GC.
