That's a great story, askye.
I had a funny moment with that at camp, where I said very firmly to two 12 year old boys, "We are not going to use that word as a pejorative this week at camp." And then I had to spend half an hour explaining what "pejorative" meant and the lesson was forgotten. But they didn't use it any more that week!
Thanks, all. I really appreciate your kind thoughts, they do help.
Hey, that's awesome Askye!
Walked down the hill from the house I'm renting and we had fish tacos in the main square, hit up a minimart for food for tomorrow morning, and then walked back up the hill, in the dark. So glad someone is with me--I was just tired and sweaty, not scared silly!
meara, good! Glad you're not alone.

Meara, I am loving reading about your trip. I am determined to make it to Sayulita one of these days. Look for Las Varas while you are there. It's where Sammy's dad and aunt were born.

My BFF and I had the Which Way Does the Toilet Paper Come Off the Roll? conversation, and to my surprise we did not agree. That makes three things we have disagreed on in 32 years.
