Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay for tea-having in London with Karen (Is that Jars?)! Also yay for non-exploding ears of pain during the flight. (Ok, I'm just assuming that, but if your head went asplodey, you'd tell us, and share your pain, I hope?)

smonster, I'm glad you got a break from the 18yr old.

Happy Birthday, omnis!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday omnis!

And so sorry, Pix.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry about Byron, Pix.

Happy birthday, Omnis!

(Autocomplete wants to make "Omnis" into "omniscient.")

Our wings are not tired

It's been a rough day. Not at all what I expected when I got up. Byron will be well taken care of for as much time as he has left.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So sorry, ND.

Happy Birthday, Omnis!

Sorry about Byron, Pix and ND.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

{{Pix and ND}} so sorry about Byron.

Happy Birthday, Omnis!

amyth, hope your head has stopped bleeding. Can you fashion a butterfly bandage from tape?

My head has almost stopped bleeding. Almost. Trouble is, it's on the back of my head where I can't see, and I have a shitload of hair, which is (sorry for the grossness) now clumped with a shitload of dried blood, which I'm afraid to wash off, because I don't want to get the cut wet and start the whole process over again.

Today, A. and I drive Calli and C. to Barcelona (four hours each way). Calli and C. fly back to NC tomorrow. When A. and I get back tonight, she is going to help me Rinse All The Hair and put a butterfly bandage on the cut. There will be first aid! And hopefully, that will be the end of all this bizness. Because I still have Week Two of France ahead, with A. and her coworker B. who gets in tonight (I've never met him) and no more ridic injuries.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's been a rough day. Not at all what I expected when I got up.

He's a very good boy and will be loved and cosseted for the time he still gets to patrol and rule.

My head has almost stopped bleeding. Almost.

And we're okay with not seeking treatment now .. because?

I get not wanting to overreact but this is either a much hairier situation than I have been in or you need to think about squishing your brain.

It also could be the change of thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is that Jars?

Yes, Jars! We had a great time. I love being able to go just about anywhere and meet buffistas. We're meeting Seska and her dear wife later this week.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm so sorry to hear about Byron. May his days be full of sunshine and naps, of catnip and Holy Tuna Water.
