[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Congratulations, sj! So excited for y'all.

Woo, Erin! PAINTING POWER.

I failed at napping, due to excess coffee at brunch. Now I'm up, have washed dishes and pulled out chili and rice to thaw, and am seated with a big Jack Skellington mug of peppermint tea to get productive. Maybe I'll do my nails as a reward later.

Shir, sorry about the fractious day. Hope tomorrow is better.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Erin! I keep asking when I get to move on to the fun stuff like picking out paint colors. I have been living with boring apartment colors for too long. Although I won't be doing any of the actual painting because of my asthma. That will totally be up to TCG and my father-in-law.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Painting is awesome, isn't it?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Painting is super awesome. It's so very satisfying. And it makes a huge difference for the amount of money it costs.

SJ I wonder if you could tolerate low- or no-VOC paints. I HATE the smell of regular paint, and have happily used a brand called Yolo (no-VOC) and Benjamin Moore's Natura (which is I think only low-VOC but still not at all fume-y compared to regular paint). They are a little more expensive, but in the scale of things paint is relatively cheap.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It IS awesome! And this paint smells hardly at all, and has primer added. I walked out of Home Depot for $49, with a gallon of paint, a tray, a brush, a roller and roller holder.

WOO.

Pix are up on FB.

OMG. My friend who is joining me on the trip to PV, where I am paying for not only the housing but also her freaking PLANE TICKET, is now like "ooh, it's so early, I don't know if I can get to the airport". I'm like, seriously!?!? FIND A WAY. If you miss the flight and waste my money/time/energy/frequent flier miles, I will freaking cut you. Or at least never fucking speak to you again or do you any more favors. Jesus. (My flight is about two hours later, so I don't have any intention of getting to the airport four hours before my flight--also, my roommate is driving me, so getting her up at 5AM on Sunday is not happening).

Oh, yeah, we did all no VOCs for our house except the poinsettia red accent walls, for which it was unavailable, and whoo boy could you tell the difference.

It looks great, Erin, what a pretty color!

That's what we're going to buy, but I'm still not going to be doing any of the painting. My tolerance for anything even vaguely chemical is so low right now. I'm just hoping with the low fume paint, I will be able to be in the house within a day or so of painting without being really sick. In the meantime, I'll be here packing.
