Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

And also, Aims, I'm glad you're taking care of yourself.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aw, Sox, that's great about your students. You're so influential!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My PCP wants me to see my oncologist because of the freaky blood tests. Excuse me while I panic.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

it's kind of an intimate thing to borrow. Expensive, too, right?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Freaky, how? t edit Ginger, sorry; I don't mean to pry, and you don't need to share. My instinct is to try to alleviate panic by looking at the facts, which is why I asked.

Can we help alleviate panic in any way for you?

Well, they're generally worn as outerwear, over a dress/blouse/shirt, pretty much like I've seen Buffistas do. It's red and black vinyl, off-the-rack (not custom-made to my measurements), which makes it much more affordable than a custom-made one: [link] (Some day I'll get a custom made one, but it's like a second tattoo: I can't decide what I want it to look like.)

But even so, I still want it back. I'd want a sweater back. I like my stuff to be with me.

I will *not* lend out the flamey one, because it was much more expensive even though it's also off-the-rack, because it's an overbust and it's all leather. Also I love it to pieces and don't want it out of my sight.

Art Crawl!!!

Ginger: here's hoping it's just your doctor being extra cautious.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I start therapy today. First time in years. I'm terrified.

Here's to establishing a good therapeutic relationship. May it go well for you.

Teppy, that is frustrating. I hope she does not put you off any further.

Ginger, lots of oncologist-happily-reassuring-that-it's-nothing~ma.

What sumi said, Ginger. Fingers crossed it's just an anomalous reading of some kind.
