Matilda and I are just back from Japantown where we saw many a babybat wondering into the video store to peruse the anime, and many more in the bookstore picking up the latest manga.

Completely shallow fashion note (but if it doesn't belong in Bitches, I don't know where it could possibly go): I've never cared much one way or the other about Donna Karan, but the Fall 2012 collection that TLo just posted is making me whimper with longing. I'm pretty sure a lot of the looks are, if not positively Jilliesque, at least Jilli-adjacent (in a very, very urban high couture way, but still, Jilli-adjacent).

In CT... and was greeted at the airport by my mom with the news that dad is in the hospital again! It should be just overnight while they transfuse him with 3 units of blood, but... sheesh. Glad I'm here for my mom though.

Also, flying out of nola with a hangover is super cloches and not as much fun as you might think.
