Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I don't think I've heard it elsewhere, but I think I would understand what someone was trying to convey even if I'd never heard it before.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have made a list of all the addresses for postcards people e-mailed me. If you didn't get an e-mail response from me, you are not on the postcard list, so resend.

I'm playing with the shiny phone I ended up renting for the trip. I can tell I'm never going to want to give it back.

move out and draw fire

I'm trying to decide how I feel about Steve Jobs passing away. Mostly I'm trying to decide if I should talk about it here, in Press, or in Tech.

brillig

His death is big news here in the tech support department, geeks scurrying from cubicle to cubicle spreading the word. I appreciate that Jobs was a genius and very, very clever, but I guess I'm not nerdy enough to be that dismayed.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I was never an Apple fan, but Steve Jobs is one of the people who made the modern world, and the world is poorer for his dying so young.

Nicely put, Ginger.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think I will take your migraine if you take my cramps.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

askye, hope the medicine kicks in soonest.

I'm going to pass on the migraines and the cramps, no offense. May you each feel better pronto.

Hello, my friends. Another long and eventful day. I may have to fire one of my crew, which SUCKS, but he is draining all my time, energy, and patience. I finally caught my supervisor up on everything and he was fairly appalled. We had a "come to Jesus" with the kid, and we'll see how the next few days go. Complicating matters is that if he leaves in the next two weeks, we can replace him. If he leaves after that, we lose the position and the funds for the year.

In better news, we pitch our business idea tomorrow! I'm excited and nervous, but if we win we're going to give part or most of the money to the group that is absolutely ready to use it. We can't make this thing happen, but maybe we'll catch the ear of someone who can.

I also called StW spur of the moment and he came and had a drink with me while I grabbed dinner. Hadn't seen him in a week and a half, so that was nice. We're both so busy, and so tired.

I am sooo glad I have the day off tomorrow, even though it won't be super restful.
