Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

We are cleaning out drawers this morning. HPF is alternating between "The best thing EVAR, I have found it!" and "This really sucks. Can someone clean my room for me now?"

Which? Not unwise.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That is fantastic, sj. Don't get too freaked out when you get the home inspection report back. It is his job to go through and find anything and everything that could be better. But it also makes it seem like the house is going to fall down around you.

Suzi must have had a better home inspector than I have had. The last one I had did not find potential problem with the roof and I'm still irritated about that. Not that it would have made much difference, I suppose...

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Mine noticed that the stove vent just spewed greasy air into the attic, rather than being vented through the roof, but missed the fact that the bathroom vent was also not vented through the roof. Now I know I should have looked for an ASHI member [link] although that would have been harder preinternet.

Yay sj!

Thrive to spite them

sj that's awesome!

Also omnis I hope you get the condo!

So I feel better. I think I'm over what ever it is I had, although I'm going to stick with a bland diet, but I'm not feverish or weak.

Last night I ended up laying on the couch watching Alcatraz on hulu. I didn't get my laundry finished because it was too much to get off the couch.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good askye.

Yay sj! I'm excited for you!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The comfy chair has got me. There's a dumb SyFy movie with Charisma Carpenter on tv and it's making me watch it. There's delicious lemon poppy bread and it's making me eat it. The comfy chair is just too powerful to resist.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I cleaned the bathroom this morning. So far, that is my only accomplishment. If you don't count making baked french toast and bacon for brunch.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

SJ, so very excited for you!! May the inspection go well, find all the little things that the seller needs to fix, or lower the price for you, but nothing so big as to stop the process? That way it saves you money down the road,a and keeps the honey-dew list to a minimum, of things you want to change, not need to fix.

Shir, congrats on getting the application out! May they be wise, and pick you!

I do believe we have been remiss, by not saying something that needs saying. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIX!!!!!

Lastly, I clicked the link for inspectors In my area, in hopes of needing them soon, and found these guys: [link] Love the name, no?

t geek (cuz that tag never closes)

Trust my rage

When we had out home inspected, the electrical passed with no problem. I assume because they stick something in the outlets and if there is current, great. But when plugging in actual plugs, the piece that holds the plug is so loose - in almost every outlet in the house - that the outlets don't work. Or to make them work, you have to have the plug 3/4s out of the outlet. Safe, no? I can't wait to fix that, but I am waiting to see if I get to stay in the house first.
