The comfy chair has got me. There's a dumb SyFy movie with Charisma Carpenter on tv and it's making me watch it. There's delicious lemon poppy bread and it's making me eat it. The comfy chair is just too powerful to resist.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I cleaned the bathroom this morning. So far, that is my only accomplishment. If you don't count making baked french toast and bacon for brunch.
SJ, so very excited for you!! May the inspection go well, find all the little things that the seller needs to fix, or lower the price for you, but nothing so big as to stop the process? That way it saves you money down the road,a and keeps the honey-dew list to a minimum, of things you want to change, not need to fix.
Shir, congrats on getting the application out! May they be wise, and pick you!
I do believe we have been remiss, by not saying something that needs saying. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIX!!!!!
Lastly, I clicked the link for inspectors In my area, in hopes of needing them soon, and found these guys: [link] Love the name, no?
t geek (cuz that tag never closes)
When we had out home inspected, the electrical passed with no problem. I assume because they stick something in the outlets and if there is current, great. But when plugging in actual plugs, the piece that holds the plug is so loose - in almost every outlet in the house - that the outlets don't work. Or to make them work, you have to have the plug 3/4s out of the outlet. Safe, no? I can't wait to fix that, but I am waiting to see if I get to stay in the house first.
Happy birthday Pix and MFN!!
Yay, sj on offer acceptance!
I am still sick. After taking Friday off work, I was feeling better yesterday. And, then I cleaned the house, did 3 loads of laundry, and ran errands. I think I overdid it because I feel icky again today.
But, in my defense, I really had to do all those things this weekend because tomorrow, the elevator in my building will be closed down for 2 weeks. WEEKS. And I live on the 5th floor. No way in hell I'm gonna tote laundry up and down 5 flights of stairs.
So, today will be a day of laying around and trying to knock this crud out of me.
Yay, sj! May the rest of the process go smoothly.
I've...washed, scalded, and refilled the water bottles and put them in the fridge, and refilled the filter pitcher. Put away the clean dishes. Picked up the trash in the living room and straightened the throws, chair cover, and cushions. Made the bed. I'm eyeing the pile of clean laundry that needs put away, and the clothes over the backs of two chairs that should be hung up, and ribbon bookmarks to glue into the spines of a few gift books. I was going to brasso the thicket of brass candlesticks, and take teapot pictures. My closet's a tip, again. Always. And I have ESL chapters to beta. Or, I could nap.
Happy birthdays, Pix and MFN!
Or to make them work, you have to have the plug 3/3s out of the outlet. Safe, no? I can't wait to fix that, but I am waiting to see if I get to stay in the house first.
That really doesn't sound safe. Maybe plug in surge protecter strips and plug your appliances into those? The possibility of electrical fire scares the fuck outta me.
I made cookies, and started a load of laundry (currently in the dryer). That will probably be it for the day, unless I can get up the energy to either clean up the kitchen or take a walk. One or the other may happen; I wouldn't bet on both.
I also have choir rehearsal from 4-6 this afternoon and then my book club meeting (hence the cookies). I cannot guarantee I won't fall asleep during one or the other.
More good news! [link]
(Yeah, a bunch of us looked for the flying pigs outside of our windows. Didn't believe this will pass).
