Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sean, glad it wasn't too big a deal.
Debet, yay for good news! Glad to hear it.
Drama Llama has apparently been gunning for me since day one; my crew thinks that it's because I make $5K more a year than she does, because she bitches about that pretty publicly. Other exciting things I learned today
- she has taken off early to go drink (and announced it)
- she sits on her ass most of the day (knew that, actually)
- she's told the current crop of volunteers that they suck and will never be as good as the ones who just left
- she may be misusing petty cash
- she may be submitting anonymous complaints about me to the director on almost a daily basis
- she vents abut her boss to volunteers
- she takes even neutral comments and makes them negative and spreads rumors
I am just agog and aghast at her vituperativeness and unprofessionality. I mean, unprofessional doesn't even start to describe it. What a backstabbing bitch. I had NO idea whatsoever that she was constantly telling people that I'm incompetent.
If she doesn't get fired, I am going to have to confront her, because apparently the only language she understands is bitchese.
Also, I just had to tell PB that I can't give him a reference.
Factor all that in with waking up at 3:30 and dozing with nightmares until the alarm went off? It's gonna be an early night.
smonster that really really sucks.
I'm always surprised at the level of bitchiness and deceitfulness people will get up to.
JESUS GOD. PB just asked why. ISTG, there's enough clueless in that kid to make Cher Horowitz cry her waterproof mascara off. I told him the truth: that I liked him and thought he had potential, but to give him a reference would put my professional reputation on the line and I can't vouch for him as a worker. My supvr is going to call him tomorrow.
Some people are really clueless. When I worked at the airport a temp employee was caught stealing, arrested, and escorted off the premises in handcuffs. There was a sting operation to catch him in the act even!
He was fired from the temp agency (rightly so) and came back and asked my supervisor for his job back! And then got mad when she wouldn't hire him back. He (we think) even stole from some TSA employees.
Oh, smonster - May you and your organization be protected from Drama Llama's negative energy - if that means she herself can be separated from that negative energy and come to work, excellent. But if she cannot be separated from it, then may she be released to her highest path for the healing that she needs.
Sean, your news is lovely and exciting. Congratulations!
Debet, I don't think I managed to say anything when you posted about your mom, but I did send vibes, and I'm so glad there's good news.
OK, Drama Llama needs to be done away with. She's actually evil. It's time to speak Latin in front of the books.
PB: so clueless it's actually sad.
We had an employee that I recommended against hiring because she was obviously too structured for our (haphazard at best) work environment. Not because I thought she wasn't technically competent or anything, but when you show up to your interview with a folder with your resume in colour and colour copies of your certifications, it's not our company you really wanted to work for.
I tried to stress that in my interview with her, but she took the job anyway. She quit a couple months later, much like I expected, but she was back on the phone with HR, angry, asking why we hadn't backed up her lie about how long she'd worked for us.
What could we possibly owe her in that situation?
But my favourite was the second PM on my big initial project at my current job--saying, as he left, that he'd be back, circumventing my boss and going to the CIO to keep a position there. How could you possibly want to work in those circumstances? Whose pride wraps all the way around like that and comes up on the side with all the shame attached?
JESUS GOD. PB just asked why.
Oh, I know. I had a guy that I fired list me as a reference. Part of the issue was his maturity, and it was several years later. Luckily, it was an old email address that I just happened to check. There was an auto message saying I didn't work there and to email a different address. I didn't get anything to the new address, so I just left it alone, because he was a good kid, but I couldn't recommend him based on what I knew.
Debet, I think I skimmed over it before, so yay for the good news.
I just realized that, for the first time this semester, I don't need to go into the office early in the morning. All my classes are in the afternoon, but every day so far, I've had to get in pretty early to prep things or grade things or work on paperwork things or something. But tomorrow, I've got only about half an hour worth of work that I need to do before my classes. I can go to the drugstore and get my car washed and go to the drycleaners and all the other errands that I've been putting off because I've had no time!
Also, I seem to be building up a collection of lunch containers. The latest is a Ms. Bento [link] which I'm going to fill with leftover Thai tofu, green beans, and rice for tomorrow.
Yay, Debet! And yay, sans posting issues, Sean!
Smonster, how is drama llama even still there? I hope she finds another place to bless with her special presence soon.
