Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks for the info Andi.
I think she's pretty much out of heat, so tomorrow I'm going to get the application off and hopefully I can get her fixed before she goes into heat again. The application has to be filled out in triplicate (it looks like no copying, it all has to be hand written) and they need some forms. But, plus side, a decision has to be made within 1 week.
I am soooooo jealous of Nora having Vortex-time. I used to have Vortex-time. Now I've got to get on a plane, and we have to do more than a phone call's worth of planning.
(Not to make light of the reason for the Vortex-time, Nora. I'm sorry your dad is not having the best of it right now.)
For the online ASL class I'm taking, I'm supposed to attend two Deaf events and then make a video of myself signing about it. The closest Deaf events around here are near Harrisburg, which is a two and a half hour drive. (The instructor of the course also tried searching for nearby Deaf events, and that's all she found, too.) I said that I can't attend one of them for the assignment due this week. She said OK, and gave me an alternate assignment, but said that I should plan ahead for the second event, and maybe bring someone along if it would make me feel more comfortable. It actually would (I'm really not so good at walking into a room of strangers), but I don't think I know anybody who I can ask to drive five hours round trip with me to go to an event where they don't know the language.
OK. I need to breathe. Stressing about this Deaf event thing is making me too wound up to do any of the things I need to do today. (Today I need to: grade written homework, write quiz, set up online homework, prep lesson plan, and do ASL quiz.)
A somewhat more aggressive grammarian.
Ha! I think Teppy needs to own that on a mug or something.
Hil, I'm sorry your assignment is stressing you out. Best of luck figuring something out.
I have not heard back on our offer on the house yet. They said they would get back to us this morning and morning is almost over. Grr!
Grr! Get your offer in gear, sj's house people!
I can only finger spell but I wish I could go with you, Hil.
Jilli asked about the brand of absinthe, it's Lucid (I opened it and asked, "Do you think it'll help?"
I do like licorice liquers but I prefer Sambuca to Ouzo, to narrow it down.
OMG drama llama is trying to get me fired. Too much to go into on iPhone, but including trying to spread a rumor that I kept my job by sleeping with my boss. Fucking toxic.
I...was about to suggest trying to find a deaf event on-line to attend via Skype.
Then I realized the participants could freaking TYPE. Good lord, la idiota.
Need more caffeine.
That problem does seem to reflect be a lack of foresight in the instructor's part -- there's a school for the deaf in KC, so an ASL instructor here would have lots of events to choose from, but...
OMG, smonster, WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?
