And I'm unemployed. Oooooookay. :)
I feel you in the mom drama. I got called 'mean and vicious" and told that I had a [something] of evilness, and she didn't know that she did to deserve a child like me because . . . I said "I don't mind picking you up, but could you be ready when I get there?" Actually, I didn't even get to say the second part. She yelled at me for about 10 minutes in the car. And then, after another 10 minutes of silence, started talking like nothing had happened.
And people wonder why I am considering moving to a different state.
::silent headshake of solidarity and a biiiig hug for Vortex::
PNW is lovely thisany time of year.

We have the same mom. I mean, I have had this conversation with her a billion times, including the freakish sudden change of temperament.
I'm in Hartford right now (second interview) and I'm thinking of you and Nora because I'm sitting in City Steam Brewery, enjoying a Norweigan Wood, which is "a velvety dark lager, aged with cinnamon and cocoa". It is goooooood.
And people wonder why I am considering moving to a different state.
I think they mostly wonder how you've stuck it out where you are this long.
That lager sounds tremendously restorative.
Vortex, I love the idea of you living closer.
I'm feeling better tonight. My fever is down and I'm eating soup and drinking juice.
I am shaking my head at the mothers of the Stephanies.
Someone tell me to go buy groceries! I am out of many important things, pretty much everything. But I can't decide whether to order a produce box for delivery or pickup tomorrow. Help me decide? Here's what I'd get for around $25:
Yellow Squash (Ponchatoula/Hungarian Settlement)
Sweet Potatoes (MS)
Bell Peppers (Husser)
Apples (Mississippi)
Turnips or Radish (Husser/Hungarian Settlement)
All Natural Shiitake (MS)
All Natural Arugula (HM&F)
Cajun Grain Rice (Kinder)
Herbs (NOLA)
Micro Greens (NOLA)
Turnip Greens or Tat Soi (Hungarian Settlement)
Corn Flour (Pride)
For another $5, I can feed my yard egg addiction. I should do it, right? I just am all decided out right now and stressing about money.
That's a lot of good food for $25 I think. But will you use it all before it goes bad? Or, at least, freeze the freezable things?
Here's an idea: make a menu, day by day, of what you'd cook with all that and what else you'd need to do said cooking. Only after you write all that out are you allowed to buy it.
