Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I quit being a grown up. This is my notice.

So I found out that my position *is* being eliminated. I have enough seniority that I will probably get another placement possibly even in my same school. Everything would stay the same, I would just change classrooms, essentially. And I would actually be assigned to a student(s) with special needs.

OR.

I can take a voluntary lay-off until probably the fall. No guarantee of job placement in the fall, but I would have recall rights and I would get unemployment. Which would pay me through the summer, but I'd loose our health insurance. Em could totally get covered through the county and she would be fine. I could get treated at PP or the like. I would also, probably, get more money from unemployment than I do working full time.

Blergh.

And on top of it, I forgot my books for school and had to come home. Grr argh.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Blergh, indeed. I hate those kinds of decisions.

And on top of it, I forgot my books for school and had to come home. Grr argh.

I've done that. It sucks.

Is there any way you can take more classes during the layoff, so you could finish school faster, Aimee?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Greetings most wise and noble worshippers of the Green Fairy. I have got a bottle of absinthe for my birthday and I have never even tried it before. Is it very important that my first time be with the traditional sugar cube and ice water drip? If I don't have the proper tools can I use a slotted spoon? Or is that all romantic silliness and I should just pour some over ice? I couldn't even crack the bottle without consulting you guys first.

You must wait for Jilli's ruling, Laga.

At this point, not really. Maybe in the summer. Unless the layoff continued through fall. If they had let me go when the funding ran out for my job LAST FREAKING JUNE, I could have taken more classes last and this semester and I would have knocked an entire semester off my time in school.

Not Jilli, but when I had an absinthe tasting at a distillery, they served it over ice. We were instructed to wait for the liquid to become cloudy before we drank it.

I would also, probably, get more money from unemployment than I do working full time.

How is that possible? Or is it just becuase you wouldn't be paying health insurance anymore?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Because I wouldn't be paying $512/month in health insurance.

Ahahaha!

Laga, I have some questions before I can give you a ruling. What brand of absinthe is it? How well do you like the flavor of licorice?
