I am delurking in here to share that my mom LOVED Ayn Rand because of the ill-fated romances. Like, she had no idea they were political at all.

I don't even think I know the plot of the Count of Monte Cristo. It makes me think of diner sandwiches.

ETA- I just looked up The Count of Monte Cristo, and I think the tv show revenge is loosely based on it, so maybe that is the reason?

I've never read Count of Monte Cristo. I've seen the movie, but I don't really remember much of it except that it had sword fights and people climbing things.
