Windsparrow, that is good news. Infections are SCARY! DF's dad was in the hospital for a week (came home a week ago last Friday) and is still on IV antibiotics at home for five more weeks. He gets an hour dose of IV antibiotics every four hours. The recovery is so slow. I'm so glad that Daniel is looking better...even in the littlest ways.
And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

what was the original source of the infection? I don't think I recall.
That is what is weird - we never did figure out how it got started. He had no open wounds that I could see. None of the doctors and nurses could see any, either. One of the doctors did say that between his weight and the diabetes, the skin on his lower legs may not be the immune-system germ barrier powerhouse that skin usually is.
Now his leg is healing, do they have an estimate on when he'll be able to go home?
I have to admit, when I heard about him showing it off, my first thought was "I got stabbed, you know, right here."

On Wednesday they were saying "two weeks" and I have not heard a revised estimate since then.
