I am in the waiting room for a new PCP. Good signs - good reviews on yelp, an HRC sticker on the door, good mix of magazines in the waiting room. The not-so-great: long wait times (no biggie for me) and cash or check only.

Got through my conference talk ok. There were some issues with connecting to the projector at first, but somehow, unplugging and replugging the connector four times fixed it. No idea what was up with that. But anyway, people seemed interested in what I was saying, and asked good questions, and one person came up to me after to ask some more. Then I went to a talk on the mathematics of juggling, and then had lunch with a friend and several of her friends. (this woman seems to know everybody. While walking through a crowd of people, where I saw two people I knew to say hi to, she said hi to three, hugged two, stopped for an in-depth conversation with three, and found three to bring along to lunch with us.)

I have never not had technical issues when presenting at a conference. I do not understand. Every year, I fill out the same damn form about my A/V requirements, and every year, I have to get someone to come fix/bring something.

I called and Dean has an appointment on Friday. His activity level has been the same (prior to the coughing spell he and Penny were chasing each other back and forth the length of the apartment) and I think he's eating okay. Well he's eating things he shouldn't be so that's a good sign.
I also called and made an appointment for tomorrow for my car, the Maintenance/Check Engine light came on so I need to get that checked.
I really need to take Penny in for her shots (she doesn't have any) but I asked the vet when I called and they said it would be about $150 for all her shots and an exam. At this point she's 2 months behind all her vaccinations. She was underweight and then her former owner didn't take her in, and I kept thinking I'd take her in but ...stuff happened. So I'm going to talk to the vet Friday about a schedule for her vaccines.
