If the cough is his only symptom, I'm with Cass - it does not sound like an emergency to me. How are his appetite (for food and water), energy level, sleeping habits, grooming? What does his breathing sound like when he is not coughing? If as per usual, that tends to indicate a less intense problem that can easily wait for regular office hours. If you have seen changes in those factors in the last few days, then it might be worth checking to see if your regular vet's office answering service can page someone to ask if it is more serious than we suspect.

Kitten siblings are the BEST THING EVER. They keep each other company when there are no hoomans around to stalk and egg each other on to newer and more hysterical hijinks. I can't wait to hear how Seamus deals with not being the kitten of the house.

I am in the waiting room for a new PCP. Good signs - good reviews on yelp, an HRC sticker on the door, good mix of magazines in the waiting room. The not-so-great: long wait times (no biggie for me) and cash or check only.
