Woot! Happy New Year. Fireworks have been happening for hours but I am too tired to stay outside anymore so I will go to sleep to the sounds of explosions.
My son Brendon showed up around 11:30 so he watched the show with me too. Seemed less complex to him then me finding him in the morning, or he didn't have a place to stay. Either way it was nice to have him here.
Sleep now. Good riddance 2011.
Happy new year. Better days, Bitches!
And now to bed.
Happy New Year! Trying to decide if I should go to bed after this whiskey or if I should watch School Hard.
Happy New Year!
I ordered Giordano's, wound yarn, watched whichever Bourne Movie was on CBS and listened to knitting podcasts.
50 minutes till midnight. Am contemplating just going to bed already. Yeah, I'm middle aged/old.
I drank All The Alcohol and Herded All The Kids.
I have a slight hagover.
Ok, I caught that, but am going to let that typo stand, cause it's true, too.
NYE party was very fun! VERY TIRED.
Morning, 2012.
Whee! 2012!
I have no hangover. Only had 2 glasses of champagne because I didn't want to be asleep at midnight.
Good start to year. I asked both boys o be here early to go to grandma's this morning. #1 got here at 11:30 last night and #2 arrived at 8:30 this morning. Wow. I am very impressed. All I did was ask nice.
This may interest some people: for Christmas, I gave Wallybee a selection of audiobooks and CDs of musicals. The latter category included this compilation: [link] It contains two songs by Hugh Jackman, and no less than six by John Barrowman. (And, disconcertingly, Christopher Lee doing The King and I.)
Meanwhile, Ryan's decided that his gift to his parents would be: on New Year's Day, as soon as he got up, he declared that he wanted to go sit on the toilet. Apparently he's ready to be potty trained. He's also ready for his close-up, so I'm starting the new year with the latest set of photos of our little boy. It covers the last couple of months, including our holiday to Phillip Island (home of the Penguin Parade and Faunapalooza).

Visit to Amaze'n'Things ( [link] ). I don't think I've ever seen as much joy in this little boy as when he was confronted with multiple Ryans in the mirror maze: [link]
Faunapalooza! Ryan meets one of the residents: [link]
Back home, and Ryan does his best Freddy Krueger: [link]
Faunapalooza generated more photos than that, of course. However, most of them are in my animal collection. They start here: [link]
Aaand the echidnas start here: [link] (Ryan loved them.)
Here endeth the photos. Please note that the number of Ryan photos still exceeds the number of echidna photos. (Though admittedly, the number of Ryan photos at Faunapalooza does not. Ahem.)
