Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

We only got home last night after two weeks of (fun, but exhausting) running around, so we decided to say no to our friends' party invitation and stay in tonight. We both have a ton of work to do over the next few days, and I'm oddly looking forward to just being home working rather than socializing.

Also, living in Pasadena means hiding in our houses this time of year.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Tom - if I were not limited to my phone at the moment, I'd link you to the work of a professor in my dept who thinks it's much earlier than that. He thinks there's evidence from linguistics and cultural references that it's closer to 40AD. I have a hard time believing that, but I'm not the expert!

I am emceeing a big fancy Goth NYE party, put on by the lady who organizes the Vampire Ball. And I'll have Pete and Cass with me!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We'll be having Brie en Croute and lamb tonight and - I don't know - watching something? Emmett's slid over the divide and its harder to get him to watch kid-stuff with Matilda anymore.

Maybe some Avatar would work. Or we could try Fellowship of the Ring on her again. It was a little too epic for her last year.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm going out to dinner with my parents, then we'll watch movies or TV or something.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My sister and I are going to see some live music and watch the fireworks over the river. Tomorrow we're going to brunch at a friend's, if we can drag our asses out of bed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have cleaned half of the fridge.

Our wings are not tired.

I canceled my planned NYE party here and am heading over to my parents to celebrate there with my sister from NY who arrived today. The boys are both doing their own thing. I'm still working at the moment. Need to finish up and get rolling.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Now I'm debating whether or not to head out on one last errand to get the HDMI cable I need to start using the gizmo I got for Christmas.

Con: I would have to get dressed and drive to somewhere with a lot of people.

Pro: I could watch movies on my TV instead of my computer. Also, if I got off my ass, I could probably get a few things done around the house while I'm at it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

No NYE plans. CJ just left for his dad's and the dojo kids have been picked up, so I'm blessedly alone and the house is even pretty clean. I foresee catching up on Tivo and lots of internet surfing.

I am waiting for my pharmacy to call back to tell me my pain meds are ready to pick up. That is my only planned trip outside of the house. Some friends were planning on a small gathering which would include fireworks but it has been windy as heck all day.
