Now it is time for bed, except that all that industrious work has made me hungry! But also sleepy, and I think that will win out.
Oh, sweet Jesus. 7-layer bar dealie made with oats instead of graham crackers?
It is the cracktastic love child of Samoas and no-bake cookies. Oh my lord.
Whew, now I can sleep. No, not really...I have to finish watching American Horror Story. But yay for gluten free magic cookie bar samoas hybrids!
Is there a recipe for the magic cookie oat bars? I like oats more than graham crackers anyway...
We have Foie-reos here if you want a decadent protein snack.
I would also like these to magically appear in my house. I did eat half a thing of brie, though. Which was apparently three servings. I had to stop myself from eating the rest, and heated up my leftover chickpea kale thing. Which is really not the same.
Thanks Teppy! I have marked that post. Mmm. (I feel like I am talky meat today, like whoah)
Well, I'm pretty much packed for going to DC (side note, I hate checking baggage, I can never remember to keep the important stuff out). I'm only checking bags because I've got gifts. Next year, it's all amazon. My apartment is a mess, but fuck it.

I think all of my important stuff is in checked luggage. Whoops. Well, prescriptions. Tech will mostly be carryon because I need it to amuse me.
Oddly, this year is one of the only years I've done Christmas gifts bought here, usually I Amazon everything if only to my folks' house so I can Elf there.
I've been trying to figure out what to bake to go with sugar cookies and Santa brownies. My MiL always made sugar cookies, so for my DH they are like the ultimate holiday treat, so that's a must. And the Santa brownies (brownies with peppermint frosting on top) are now a tradition on my sister's side. But neither one is my favorite. I was going to make blondies, but I have to say the GF magic cookie bars sound mighty tempting.
My aunt makes almond roca. That is heavenly Christmas noms for me.
Dinner for my Mom's 90th Birthday (the 21st) was lamb shanks braised in mint and rosmary infused wine.
